This is one simply amazing, special, hard driving, kick ass song. The best way to hear it is to sit back, crank up the volume, close your eyes and just feel the band and that accordion go into overdrive ...
I consider it to be the best version (both vocals and music) of Hey Joe ever recorded. A close second is Wilson Pickett's incredible R&B, Soul version. With Jimi Hendrix's groundbreaking rendition trailing in at a close third.
Now of course, this is my humble opinion and personal taste talking. But, decide for yourself. Just listen to that incredible groove filled, driving accordion give it that bayou, zydeco vibe & feel while putting it over the edge.

An official music video was never made for this song, so don't expect anything visually. All we get is the original album cover while hearing Buckwheat Zydeco and his Ils Sont Partis Band create some real studio magic. But the music more than makes up for this.
Buck's version of Hey Joe didn't win any awards or make /climb any of the music charts but once you listen to it I'm sure you'll agree with me that it should have.
Just crank up the volume, give it whirl and you'll see what I mean. This is one kick ass song, that'll just blow you away ...
