This is an extremely high energy, power pop-rock song if there ever was one.
Canadian rock band, Loverboy recorded the hit song, Turn Me Loose in 1980. It was released on their eponymous debut album and also as a single in 1981.
With a strong rock synthesizer start to the song, followed by a steady build on the guitars, it peaked at #7 on the RPM singles chart in 1981 and #6 on the Billboard Top Tracks chart in the US.
The song peaked at #3 in Australia, #4 in South Africa, #5 in New Zealand and #35 on US Billboard Hot 100.
Cruising the 80's?
